I just received a book to review called a "A Year With Jesus" and it is a great read.  I love the layout of this book that was written by R.P.Nettelhorst and published by Thomas Nelson. There is a scripture passage to each day in Jesus' Own Words, this has readings for every day of the year. I like this book because you are getting scripture reading every day and the passages are short, just one page so these are quick reads for a person with a busy life. Read this book and find comfort and peace in the stresses of life.You will gain strength from these passages.   Many times we fail to read the bible but if you have this book you are getting scriptures daily in this quick read.
  This would make a nice Christmas Gift for anyone on your list.  What a better time than Chrismas to share this book with your friends and loved ones as that is really what Christmas is all about.

The only thing I found that this book is lacking is a daily prayer for each day.

Feed The Hungry & End Homelessness

I live in a Small City in the Niagara Region and we do not see any homeless people here like you do in the bigger cities in Toronto and such.
I was on my way to work last week and I take the bus and then catch a trans-cab to work.  The bus let me off and I had to wait for a cab.  While waiting I was standing with two high school teens and to my dismay I looked across the street from were I was standing to see an older heavy set man with track pants and boots on.  He went into the garbage can and took out an old Tim Horton's cup that had a string coming out of it.  It was tea and I guess there was still some in the cup and he drank it.  I could not believe what I seen.
The two high school students laughed and thought it was funny that he picked through the garbage and drank an old tea.
  I thought this was very sad to see and I wondered if he was homeless.
On the ride to work in the taxi the teens were telling the cab driver about it and laughing.  I told the two of them that they are really blessed to have a warm house to go to and food to eat.
  They thought about it and said yes that is true and they thought about what I said to them.
Hunger and homelessness is not a laughing matter, some people really need to think about things other than themselves and try to make a difference in the lives of others.
We need to make an impact on and in the lives of others.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.It is almost the end of October, but I wanted to touch on this subject anyway because it is extremely important.

In North America, breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer each year. 200,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, and approximately 65,000 die each year. While you can get breast cancer at a young age, the risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer increases with age. It’s important to do a monthly self-examination, so I have found the information online to help you in doing so. Ascent From Darkness Book Review

I found this book to be an excellent read.  It is a book about a man by the name of Micheal Leehan who was into Satanism and was on a path to destruction and God stepped in and transformed his life, from darkness to the light.
I found this book gripping and fascinating.  After reading this book you will learn that spiritual warfare is real and how God has all power over it.
Not only will you learn about a man that was bound by Satan but you will be enlightened by this true story on how Satan attacks and operates. This book was also educational.  after reading this book you will be able to have an understanding on how to witness to people that are into Satanism and be able to draw them to Christ.  This book is definately a faith builder and a real eye opener.
God is more powerful than Satan!

  When I started reading this book I could not put it down as it will keep you on the edge of your seat.  I also like that it is a true story and a real life experience.  I think every Christian should read this one.

Gabby God's Little Angel Book Review

       I had the opportunity to review an excellent read called "Gabby God's Little Angel" written by the author Sheila Walsh
and found this book to be a great read for children.  This book is creative, well illustrated, inspiring, and teaches children how God loves them and sends an angel to protect them. The book has some wit and wisdom as well.  What a nice way to teach your children about the scriptures through this illustration.

Psalm 91 verse 11 says " He has put his angels in charge over you.  They will watch over you wherever you go."

Children need to feel safe, secure and protected and this book definitely delivers this message.
This book has great illustrations and is a great inspiring and encouraging book.
I would highly recommend purchasing this book to give to a child.

I recently purchased the Fetish Fantasy Series Door Swing from EdenFantasys and received it in the mail earlier this week. At first, I wasn't sure if our doors would hold up through using the swing, but I wanted to try it out anyways.

I am so glad I purchased it. I was absolutely impressed with it!

When we received it, I opened it up and was surprised that it also came a bonus black blindfold. I wasn't expecting that! My fiance hung it up on the bathroom door and hung off of it to see if it would hold the weight. The swing states it holds up to 300lbs.

I really enjoyed it because we could achieve different positions much easier in the swing. The straps are adjustable also, so it will be a comfortable fit regardless of your size. My fiance even went into the swing (it was really fun)! I would highly recommend buying this product if you want to try something new and adventurous. Believe me when I say, our doors are not the sturdiest in our apartment, but they held up perfectly. This product is also great for travelling as it can be disassembled quickly and put back into it's box.

Another great thing about this swing is that you do not need to mount it to anything like a lot of the swings do require. This swing just locks onto the door with two acrylic tubes that are really strong. The price is excellent too.

Time to Butt-Out!

I want to quit smoking and find that to buy the aids to quit can get pretty costly so I signed up for the stop study program and received a box in the mail with the Nico-Derm step patches and lozenges by Nicorette.  I am looking forward to quitting and prepared with my aids.  
    In order to participate you have to do a survey and then they send you out a box of quitting smoking aids.
My quit date is August 7th and I really want to beat this habit!
