Review- Vichy Idealia Products

I had the opportunity through Chick- Advisor to test some Vichy Products
I am a big fan of Vichy and the creams are my go to products.
They are high end and quality, a little on the pricier side but are worth every cent!!
I am satisfied with the overall performance and how great your skin looks after using them. Each time I use them it is like getting a makeover in a jar, bottle or tube.

I just tried the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep which I use every night after my make up is removed, and have been buying it since.
This product when applied feels wonderful, the texture is smooth and not greasy and soaks into your skin and your skin feels soft and moisturised. It feels like springs in the dessert when applied.  My skin looks better and is smoother, less lines and is highly moisturised and makes your skin look fresh and alive!
I just love it!!!!
If you haven't tried it and your skin is dull and slightly dry I would suggest giving it a try.

I have tried the Vichy Idealia BB  Creme Medium Tint Shade

I totally love this product and it is a perfect shade for me. When applied to the face it is a moisturiser and a tinted colour all in one.  I find when I apply it my complexion looks smoother and covers any marks(blemishes and scars) on my skin.  Plus it has SPF 25 for protection against the harmful rays of the sun.  Excellent quality ad worth purchasing.

I give this a 5 Star as well

I have also tried the Vichy Life Serum

Vichy is a quality product and I love all Vichy products but I found it didn't settle on my skin but was peeling, It made my face red and I didn't really find any benefits with this one.

This one gets 2 Stars out of 5  The 2 stars is I love Vichy brand and the bottle was easy to use and apply it.

Review- Canada Dry Blackberry Gingerale

I had the opportunity to through Chick-Advisor to test and try the New Canada Dry Blackberry Ginger Ale

I was excited to try the new flavour of Canada Dry as I am a big fan of their Ginger Ale!

I received my Chick-Advisor box and in it was four pop lids, four swirly straws and a coupon for a twelve pack of the pop.

I find Canada Dry is creative and innovative when it comes to creating new flavours.  at Christmas time I purchased a case of the Cranberry flavour which was pretty amazing and was a hit at my dinner.

So last night my room mate and I had sampled the Canada Dry Blackberry Ginger Ale.  The flavour was good, I like that it made from real ginger and is naturally flavoured and of course it is my favourite brand.
The beverage had great flavour, was not highly carbonated so it wasn't gassy like some pops which I liked and the natural ingredients sold me on this one and it was a light bubbly drink. I found this beverage to be a light flavoured, tasty sparkly drink almost like a spritzer rather than a pop so it was very flavourful. The quality of the product was excellent and the price was affordable.

This drink would be something I buy on occasion rather than a go to drink. 


My rating for Canada Dry Blackberry Ginger Ale would be

5 Stars

Bees are critical to food security

Two-thirds of the food crops humans eat everyday require bees and other pollinators to successfully produce a crop. However- the health and productivity of honeybees, bumble bees, and other pollinators are in great peril, and populations are dwindling worldwide.

Although honey bee losses have been linked to multiple factors, a strong and growing body of scientific evidence has shown that the use of neonicotinoid pesticides are a major contributing factor to bee die-offs.

What are Neonicotinoids?

• Neonicotinoids (neonics) are systemic pesticides that are absorbed into plant tissues. Once applied, they spread through the entire plant, including the stems, flowers, pollen and nectar.
• Neonicotinoids can poison bees directly, and even low-level exposure can lead to sub-lethal effects such as altered learning, impaired foraging and immune suppression.
• Neonicotinoids are used on virtually 100% of corn seed, and on a large percentage of soy, wheat, and canola seed.
• Neonicotinoids are applied to crops using seed coatings, sprays, soil drenches and granules.
• Hard to believe, but new neonicotinoid pesticides have been approved since PMRA announced neonicotinoids were under review.

Help To Make The Single Most Effective Change For Bees

Unless Canada changes how new pesticides are approved we will constantly be fighting to have one pesticide or another taken off the market. Our system is broken. It is too close to the pesticide manufacturers and too far from up-to-date scientific methods.

It is hard to believe, but a number of new neonicotinoid pesticides have been approved since Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) announced neonicotinoids were under review.  And it did so in the face of mounting scientific evidence and growing public concern.

The scientific approach must be updated by replacing “Risk Assessment” with “Systematic Review” and ending the practice of issuing conditional registrations. The first neonicotinoid pesticides were allowed on the market even though the PMRA recognized the threat to honey bees. They issued registrations on the condition that more studies would be done to understand the impact on bees. For over ten years PMRA ignored its own conditions while millions of bees died agonizing deaths. Unless we change the system, pesticide manufacturers will continue to sell neonics and the next generation of systemic pesticides.  Here’s what we need to do.

We need a transparent and participatory process of systematic reviews. Under the present rules, PMRA only tells the public it is about to register a new pesticide after it has made the decision. You and I are welcome to submit comments, but we can see the scientific information only by traveling to Ottawa and reading it in the library.  These decisions release poisons across Canada without any public environmental assessment.

Gardeners Beware

Neonicotinoids aren’t just used in agriculture- many plants sold at home garden centres have also been pre-treated with these bee-killing pesticides.

Unfortunately, many gardeners have no idea that they may actually be poisoning pollinators through their efforts to plant bee-friendly gardens.

The 2014 Gardener’s Beware report, released by Friends of the Earth Canada, Friends of the Earth U.S., and the Pesticide Research Institute, found that 51% of plant samples collected big box stores in 18 cities across Canada and the U.S. contained bee-killing neonicotinoids.

• Send a Letter to Minister of Health Philpott – let her know we appreciate getting rid of conditional registrations but it’s only a first step.
• Send Our Letters to Garden Centres – ask them to stop selling plants and seeds treated with bee-killing pesticides.
• Find out which Retailers are Acting on Neonicotinoids – labelling their plants or phasing-out neonics altogether.
• Create A Bee Cause Space at Home – learn how to support our pollinators in your own backyard.

Loreal Root Cover Up Red, WOWZERS!!!!!!

Here is the package I received in the mail below.

I recently had the opportunity to receive and do an honest review on the new Loreal Root Cover Up Spray in red through Influenster.

I used this on my boyfriends Mother Shirley as she has red hair and grey roots.  I was a bit sceptical of this product but when I started applying it I was very impressed!

When applying it and after I was finished

She needs a haircut but you get the idea and can see the results!  

It not only covered the root but as you can see by the picture it blended well with the red she had in her hair already.  This stayed in and didn't bleed out when she sweat.  It had a good consistency and went on even. 

 The can is small and a bit pricey but if your hair is short it can be used for a couple times. 

Loreal made a great innovative product for the woman on the go.  If you have roots and company is going to surprise you and drop in unannounced you want to look your best so this is a great product to have on hand for the occasion.
