Showers of Blessings!

I recently had a baby shower for my oldest daughter.  The two future grandmas put it on, Becky and myself and it was a blast!  We had lots of food, prizes and even a penny sale.  It was lots of work but very rewarding.
Tons of Food!

We had a lovely time and Belinda enjoyed herself.  It was nice to see everyone come and support Belinda.

She had a cute baby boy and I can't wait to hold him.
Thanks to all who took part in supporting this event!

Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day! Do you participate in this?

Random Acts of Kindness Day

When : Always February 17th
Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day. And, you know what to do...perform a few random acts of kindness. Almost any kind deed will do. And, we highly recommend you perform kind acts on as many people as you can.
This is a favourite day of many people and groups. People like the idea of showing a little kindness to others. Its a fun and good thing to do. And, they like being on the receiving end of this day as well. It makes both the giver and the receiver feel good.
Schools have used this day as an educational event, and to promote the value of kindness. Organizations have used this day to promote their cause, and for fundraisers.

What are your thoughts about having a random acts of kindness day?
I think this is great to encourage others to be kind and go out of their way to do good things for others.  Personally I try to do this on a regular basis in my life as I enjoy making people happy.  There is joy in helping and giving to others.

If you participate in random acts of kindness, what have you done personally?

There are many things a person can do to be kind others it doesn't always cost money either, it can be giving your time to help others.

Do something today to bring joy to someone!
Sometimes in life you have to be a Blessing to receive a blessing, call it Karma, sowing and reaping or paying it forward.

Today is Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk Day?

NATIONAL DON’T CRY OVER SPILLED MILK DAY
On February 11 th, Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day is celebrated by many as a day to think positive.  Look on the bright side of things then carry that with you every day after.  Do not worry and do not stress over the little things.   Life is to short to let the little things bother us.  Do not look at the negative in things, look for the positive.  I know We all battle to think positive sometimes but we must train ourself to push away negative thoughts so we can have a more enjoyable life.
Everyone knows that unexpected or unplanned things happen in life, sometimes on a daily basis.  To help handle this is to find something good in all things.   With a positive attitude, life is much brighter and easier.
Don’t cry over spilled milk.
I know I need to retrain myself to be more positive and let the negativity fall by the wayside.  I'm a work in progress and still in training, haha!

National Make a Friend Day!

NATIONAL MAKE A FRIEND DAY

Always celebrated on February 11th, National Make A Friend Day,  is a wonderful opportunity to meet someone new and make a new friendship.  Friends serve a very important role in everyone’s lives.  They are one of life’s most valuable assets.
It is very easy in the busyness of today’s world to miss out on spending time with our friends.   Sometimes we just need to be reminded of the importance of friendship.  We need to take a break from our hectic lives and spend time with our friends and February 11th, let’s take that time to make a new friend.  Where ever you are, whatever you are doing, say “hi” to someone, start up a conversation, and make a new friend!  You will be glad that you did.
An honest answer is the sign of true friendship.
~ Proverbs 24:26
