This is a truly inspiring story of Jeff Berwick and displays many challenges and obstacle he was faced with on a day-to-day basis. He overcame all challenges with his willpower and determination and did not let his visual impairment get in the way of living his everyday life.
He utilized Accessible Media to be able to spend time with the family watching television programs.
AMI(Accessibel Media Inc. is a great tool for anyone with impairments or disabilities. It is a non profit organization that operates two broadcast services such as Voice Print and Accessible Channel for anyone with impairments such as being blind, deaf, or learning impairment etc.
I think that television watching has come a long way in technology and is growing and this is an awesome organization that keeps all individuals involved. Individuals gain access to these services provided by AMI so that they are not alienated and it helps gains more involvement in this society in which we live in. It is also a great tool to help gain stronger relationships within the family unit as the children all love to watch television together with mom and dad.
